For Janet, I'm posting this recipe.
12 cup flour 5 cup warm milk
2 T. salt 1/2 cup sugar
2 cup (4 sticks) butter 3 T. yeast
Blend 10 cups of flour, salt and butter and set aside. Warm milk, add sugar and yeast and dissolve for 5-8 minutes. Pour milk mixture over flour mixture and mix. Gradually add remaining flour, kneading well. Add just enough flour to make non-sticky dough. Let dough rise double, then knead and let rise again. Shape into zwiebach and put on pans. Let rise about an hour. Bake at 425 for 11-12 minutes

Dishing

Last week, my sister-in-law invited me to Let's Dish. Wondering what we were doing there? Oh, it was a lot of fun! We made food. For my family of three, I made 16 meals of literally 5 different gourmet dishes in two hours. The store provides all the recipes and their ingredients. When we got there, we put on our cooking outfit and started dishing in. Each recipe has its own counter. We put all the ingredients in a freezer bag for each meal and put the bag in a freezer, then we go to another counter for another recipe. When we were done with all of the meals that we signed up for, we transfer our bags of food to our cooler to bring home. Now, my freezer at home is full of ready-to-cook- grill, bake or on top of the stove- meals. I love it so much that I signed up for another session in August. I like it because it helps me organize our daily meals. Another advantage I see is that my family is eating a variety of really good food. And it's cost-efficient. Big thanks to Diane!
Pump It Up!
Isabelle had a great time again at Pump It Up last week. It was more exciting for her because she was joined by her super cute cousins, Justin, Payton and Lauren and her friends, Hope and Hannah. Pump It Up is a really neat thing for kids of Isabelle's age. My mind can rest knowing that she and other kids are safe even when they get really wild jumping, running, bouncing, sliding down because the equipments are all inflatable. For some reason though, Isabelle didn't like the slide that much this time. I am wondering if she got that attitude from her daddy and mommy who feel sick on slides and on other rides. Funny. So that makes us a family.

Celebrating July 4th
Paul shaking hands with Senator Norm Coleman, Congressman John Kline and State Representative Tara Mack
Answer: They both like to shake hands with special people.
For the rest of the day, we joined our friends at their house by Fox Lake in Faribault. Lots of fun! Boating, eating, fireworks and singing! We ended up having a sleep over at their place.

Zwieback

My mother-in-law makes really good Zwieback. I had a chance to learn how to make it through her. It's kind of a shame that the first breakfast roll I made in my entire life is German. Well, back in the Philippines, it was always more convenient to just buy the rolls rather than spending so much time kneading the dough.
