Jose's Homemade Salsa

I'm posting this recipe for Janet and for those who love chips and salsa. I've loved it since that evening I tried it. It's guaranteed deliciouso! A friend's friend, named Jose, made this on a party we got invited to last month. Here it is...

2 Tbsp. Mexican Peppers
4 Oz. of boiling water
1 16 oz. can of chunk tomatoes
6 fresh roma tomatoes
1 cup of chopped cilantro
1/2 cup of chopped green onions
1 lime squeezed for juice
1 tablespoon of chopped garlic

Blend water and peppers until chunks are gone. Mix in other ingredients more or less to taste.

thanks for posting this one dines. just in time for samantha's birthday dinner.

btw, what's the alternative for mexican peppers? cayenne?

Jan, you could use cayene but it won't be as yummy. But if you have Mexican store around where you are, you can ask them what best peppers they have for salsa.

we love chips and salsa at our house! it is a daily staple! fun to have a new recipe! Josh just got a recipe from Puerto Rico that we tried out...it had different ingredients- jalapenoes, pineapple and mango squares! A first for us!
